△The front of the box features a colorful illustration, with the particle count marked as 2363pcs in the upper right corner, and the back indicates that light-up components are included. The side directly uses the Gaobricks logo, and the product information shows that the manufacturer is Gaodes GoBricks.
△There is no inner box, with the pieces divided into 10 large numbered bags. Additionally, there is a bag of mirror accessories, a wing pack, light components, an instruction manual, and a revision page. Both the manual and stickers come in separately protected packaging. The first page of the instruction manual includes a story setting, which tells the background and character introductions of this product.
△The base is a light gray cave filled with treasures like gold coins. The top of the cave has a castle, and once assembled, the entire base is completed. Be sure to test the light components, as the bulbs need to be placed inside the cave. The entire dragon is very solidly built, and there is a bag of extra parts for step 244’s x4 2*2 plates and cross shafts for the wings.
△The texture of the dragon is excellent, and the front claws have a limiting design at the elbow joints.
△Minifigure display: The minifigure is assembled from parts, not a standard figure.
△360-degree view of the finished product:
△Looking closely at the treasure cave, it raises a childhood question: why are there candles in a dragon’s lair? Is it to help the hero see the path? The hero descends from the side of the castle using a rope to explore the cave. As for the princess (the pink one), she’s too abstract—let’s skip rescuing her.
△Honestly, the dragon's head is really well-made—handsome and sturdy. The dragon is placed directly on the castle, secured by five transparent cross shafts through holes.
△The trunks of these trees are made using launchers, which give them a textured appearance and branches. This method of using the parts is clever, but the openings are too large, making the trees a bit loose and prone to falling. Try to place the dragon’s claws on the trees to add support and enhance the scene. According to the official story, the evil wizard Sasm summons the dragon Fafnir to reclaim the gold stolen by the king.
The dragon’s wings are connected by ball joints, allowing them to move up and down, simulating a flapping effect.
△The internal joints of the wings are also movable, allowing them to be folded when the dragon lands. Multiple angles can be adjusted, so you can position the dragon according to your preferred look.
△Finally, install two mirrors—one is single-sided and placed behind the cave, and the other double-sided one goes in front. Remember to remove the protective film from the mirrors. The instruction manual mentions that fingerprints can corrode the double-sided mirror material, so it's best to wear gloves when handling. With the lights on, it creates a fantastical mirror realm effect.
△Unfortunately, I don’t have a light-absorbing cloth, so it’s hard to capture the night scene effect. For now, just take a look at it like this.
△Lastly, pose the dragon according to the image on the box.
**Summary:**
Appearance:
The dragon looks great, and the mirror reflection effect is well-executed.
Structure:
The overall structure is solid, and the joints are well-designed.
Quality:
Gaobricks parts have guaranteed quality.
Function:
It’s mainly for static display and serves as a mirror decoration.
**Final thoughts:**
The texture of this dragon is fantastic, with tight joints and secure exterior parts, making it suitable for play. The dragon's head is particularly well-crafted. Interestingly, the minifigures are constructed from pieces, which is quite rare. The lighting effect is also nice. If I were the hero, seeing the treasure-filled cave would make it hard to leave. After slaying the dragon, the gold belongs to the king, and you’re left with just a bucket of a princess. In the end, all dragon-slaying heroes become dragons themselves.
