△With 4,682 pieces, it’s definitely not a small build.
△It can transform without disassembly, otherwise, why buy it? A quick complaint about the Hasegawa model version: it has two modes but can’t transform.
△The battleship is long, and its humanoid form is about 70 cm tall.
△The 16-step packaging is quite reasonable.
△It has an internal Technic frame.
△Since the battleship in the original design is enormous, its external details should be quite rich, especially in the movie version. The brick version presents this fairly well. The color scheme is mostly faithful to the original, and the use of gray seems like an innovation. Most areas of the build are solid, making it a bit heavy.
△It’s a one-piece transformation, and the process is almost the same as in the animation.
△At around 70 cm tall, it’s even taller than the G1 Fortress Maximus.
△Setting aside the minor stability flaws caused by the heavy weight and the inherent fragility of building block toys, this set is a well-executed classic IP transforming toy. The appearance and color scheme are well-replicated, giving it the mass of a base-level vehicle. During the transformation play, it can evoke childhood memories for players, as if the massive cannon is ready to fire, and we’re still in that summer, facing the attack of the Vega aliens.
